The CEO of SETECH, Mr. Lovans Owusu-Takyi as part of a community cookstoves demonstration workshop encouraged households to cook with pellets and briquettes in clean biomass gasifier stoves to improve the health and livelihoods of households in Ghana.
Pellets and Briquettes are made from agro-waste and therefore reduces the overdependence on forest and trees as sources of fuel for cooking. Agro-waste can be a source of energy, therefore, closing the energy-food-environment nexus and reducing climate change by avoiding the cutting down of trees for charcoal and firewood and saving the burning of agro-waste but being recycled for efficient use.
SETECH provides the clean burning stove that uses the pellets and briquettes for cooking.
